Welcome, my name is Norman Close.

I am a software developer living in Christchurch, New Zealand.

In my day job I work with Microsoft Technologies. This covers some ASP.NET development but a lot of VB.NET Windows Client stuff. Also interfacing to old IBM Green Screens (Terminals) using Rumba.

I have worked in various roles all for the one company covering telecommunications, project management, line management, system and business analysis.

Began software development in Dbase 3 and tried a bit of Foxpro, C, C++ and Java before ending up doing mostly .NET.
